In describing how the boys face each challenge Flanagan includes a good amount of tactical information, but rather than slowing the story it only makes you appreciate it more.

I did enjoy the teamwork aspect to this book, though it didn’t happen as often as I’d like. The town is on to them, but is it enough to stop them? There was a reasonable amount of various nautical terms floated around but nothing too technical. I loved chroniclees other boys though, especially Edvin, Hal, Stefan, and Jesper. The whole book was kind of predictable aside from some of the challenges.

Hal is very much like Will. This book mostly seemed a set up for the rest of the series, but all in all I quite enjoyed it and Ghe will definitely continue with the series.
